Acoustics and vibration
for Marine engines
Your Engine Places Continuous Stress on the Propeller Coupling
Marine engines transmit significant vibration loads directly into the drivetrain and the vessel’s hull. These vibrations place constant stress on the coupling between the engine and the propeller shaft, often causing wear that only becomes apparent during dry-docking inspections. Inadequate vibration isolation can accelerate wear on transmission components while reducing onboard comfort for passengers and crew.

Mounts for Propulsion Engines
These mounts isolate engine vibrations while transmitting the full thrust load to the drivetrain and propeller system.
Available in a range of configurations and load capacities, they are suitable for marine engines delivering up to several hundred horsepower. Effective vibration isolation improves propulsion system reliability and enhances onboard comfort, particularly during start-up and low-speed operation.
Elastic Couplings
Elastic couplings absorb cyclic irregularities and torque peaks at the interface between the engine and the transmission.
Certain versions feature a radial split design for easier installation and maintenance and are suitable for relatively high rotational speeds, making them particularly well suited to continuously operating marine engines. Their ability to accommodate misalignment also simplifies installation while reducing premature wear on rotating components throughout the drivetrain.
