Sports & Leisure Equipment That Must Remain Quiet and Compact
Sports and leisure equipment must above all remain quiet and compact, whatever its intended use. User comfort is often closely linked to low noise levels. Hutchinson draws on its power transmission and vibration-control technologies to meet these requirements.
Leisure Vehicles, Sport & Fitness and Bicycles
Leisure vehicles, from personal watercraft to paramotors, require high power output within a limited space. Hutchinson's Poly V® belt moves air without trapping it, helping to reduce noise perceived by the user.
Sport and fitness equipment face similar challenges, with the Poly V® belt combined with Hutchinson's FleXonic® system to absorb vibrations.
Bicycles benefit from Hutchinson's specialist expertise, with the company having manufactured bicycle tyres since 1890. Hutchinson also co-developed the UST standard, the first performance standard for tubeless bicycle tyres.
Leisure Accommodation
Lightweight structures such as conservatories follow the same sealing principles as conventional residential buildings, but face additional challenges from exposure to the elements. Hutchinson Moirans already supports conservatory manufacturers with sealing solutions designed to withstand UV exposure without losing flexibility.
This expertise, developed for the building and façade sectors, naturally extends to the lightweight structures used in leisure accommodation.
