Precision Measurement for Smarter Garden Equipment

As electrification transforms product portfolios, it introduces new engineering challenges for many design teams. An electric machine can only deliver the right level of torque when it continuously knows the position and rotational speed of its critical components. This information directly impacts drivetrain efficiency while also contributing to operator safety.

Our Measurement and Detection Technologies

Magnetic Encoder Rings

Magnetic encoder rings combine a metal insert with an elastomer compound loaded with magnetic particles and magnetized according to a defined pole pattern. Working in conjunction with a sensor, the ring provides precise speed or angular position data.

Their real value lies in their seamless integration with rotary shaft seals. By combining sealing and measurement functions into a single component, you reduce the number of parts in your bill of materials while eliminating a potential leakage point.

Absolute Inductive Sensors

Our inductive sensing technology offers a key advantage from the outset: absolute position measurement. Unlike incremental systems, it delivers the actual position immediately at power-up, without requiring any reference movement or homing sequence.

It also provides a second, equally important benefit for compact equipment designs. The technology is inherently immune to the stray magnetic fields generated by nearby electric motors. As equipment architectures become increasingly compact and components are integrated into ever smaller spaces, this immunity becomes a critical factor in ensuring reliable measurement performance.
