Magnetic Encoders

Magnetic encoders, also known as magnetic rings or magnetic targets, ensure accurate and reliable position measurement, even in harsh environments.
Their robust construction, comprising a metal insert and a rubber matrix containing magnetic particles, ensures position and speed control in severe environments (mud, sand, salt, oils, greases, etc.) at very high speeds and with high acceleration.
With customization options available, with or without singularity, they meet the high demands of modern applications.
Magnetized with one or more tracks, with regular or irregular poles, our targets are adapted to the sensor of your choice, and our expertise in deep drawing ensures they are tailored to your specifications at the best possible cost.

Characteristics

  • Wide range of magnetic rubber compounds: NBR (from -40 to 150 °C) and HNBR (from -40 to 180 °C)
  • Moulded elastomer-ferrite magnetic compound bonded to a metal insert
  • Remanence up to Br = 3500 G and high coercive field: 240 kA/m
  • Anisotropic ferrite technology; rare-earth solutions for the highest fields
  • Single or multiple magnetic tracks, with singularity or dipole
  • Products available in axial and radial versions
  • Resistant to dust, mud, sand, salt, oil, grease and water
