These different versions are also available as joined V-belts, allowing for increased power transmission capacity and meeting the requirements of applications demanding higher performance.

The wrapped V-belt benefits from a molding manufacturing process that ensures consistent thickness while minimizing production waste. Its fabric covering allows it to accommodate significant slippage and operate effectively on drives subject to high misalignment. Its design allows for clutching and declutching applications, particularly in outdoor power equipment.

The notched V-belt can operate around smaller pulley diameters than a wrapped V-belt. Its notches also improve belt ventilation and dust evacuation, while enhancing its flexibility in bending. It provides good abrasion resistance and, thanks to its raw edges, enables higher power transmission.

We offer a solution to convert V-belt drives into Poly V ribbed belt drives.

Technical studies show that, under identical tension and geometry, a Poly V belt offers higher efficiency than a V-belt, with an average efficiency of around 98%. This improved efficiency helps reduce electricity consumption and can also make it possible to reduce the required motor power and size.
