Hutchinson is a leading manufacturer of Poly V belt drive systems for industrial applications. Featuring longitudinal ribs, the Poly V belt is designed to provide efficient and reliable power transmission.
Its large contact surface, greater than that of conventional V-belts or flat belts, ensures excellent grip on the pulleys and optimal power transmission.
Our Poly V belts are available in five profiles: PH, PJ, PK, PL and PM.

Thanks to its specific design, the Poly V belt can operate in both flexion and reverse flexion, providing greater design flexibility and excellent versatility. It can be used to drive multiple accessories with a single belt in serpentine configurations, while also allowing power transmission from the back of the belt.
Our range also includes various rubber compounds and special coatings, including oil-resistant and antistatic solutions, to meet the requirements of the most demanding applications. The double-sided Poly V belt further extends our range by enabling power transmission on both sides of the belt.
Structure
The Ribs are made from a high-performance elastomer compound, providing excellent resistance to abrasion. Their geometry is optimized to maximize the contact surface, ensuring efficient power transmission regardless of the belt width.
The Cord is made of polyester or aramid and forms the textile reinforcement of the belt, directly contributing to its mechanical strength. Our team is available to advise you on the specific dynamic characteristics and performance of these two cord materials.
The Back protects the cord and contributes to the radial stability of the belt’s one-piece structure.
