Automated Processing Depends on Accurate Measurement
A harvesting head determines where to cut based on the length measured as the feed rollers advance the stem. A deviation of just a few centimeters can move timber out of its intended grade and directly impact its commercial value.
Yet this level of precision must be maintained in an environment constantly exposed to sap, debris, moisture, and airborne contaminants.

Our Measurement and Detection Technologies
Magnetic Encoder Rings
We develop and manufacture encoder rings composed of a metal insert and an elastomer compound loaded with magnetic particles. Combined with a sensing probe, they provide precise speed and position data.
This technology is particularly well suited to feed rollers, where each revolution directly corresponds to a measured length. Strong bonding performance and high accuracy ensure reliable operation, even in high-speed applications.
Absolute Inductive Sensors
Our inductive sensing technology is based on eddy current principles, making it inherently immune to low-frequency stray magnetic fields.
In harvesting heads, where solenoid valves and hydraulic motors often operate just centimeters away from the sensor, this immunity prevents measurement drift that can be difficult to detect and troubleshoot.
The sensor also provides absolute position information immediately upon power-up, eliminating the need for any reference or homing movement. Each solution is engineered to suit its installation environment, enabling seamless integration into your existing system architecture.
