Power Transmission
for Gardening Equipment
Delivering Reliable Power in Demanding Environments
Equipment manufacturers are constantly challenged to deliver greater power density in increasingly compact machines. Belt-driven systems help meet this objective, but garden equipment presents two well-known constraints. Dust accumulates in pulley grooves and gradually reduces transmission efficiency. At the same time, the small pulley diameters required by compact designs subject belts to far greater bending stress than would typically be encountered in conventional industrial applications.

Our Belt Drive Solutions
Ribbed Belts
We pioneered this technology, which transmits power through multiple longitudinal ribs rather than a single large section. For equipment manufacturers, the benefits are clear: smaller pulley diameters and excellent performance at high rotational speeds.
Both characteristics directly support the compact machine architectures increasingly demanded by the market.
We have also optimized belt geometries specifically for this sector. Some designs incorporate truncated tooth profiles that actively expel dust, dirt, and small debris during operation. This significantly reduces groove clogging, one of the primary causes of efficiency losses in garden equipment applications.
Elastic Belts
Elastic belts eliminate the need for tensioners and associated adjustment mechanisms. They also remove the requirement for periodic tension maintenance throughout the product lifecycle.
Their inherent elasticity maintains the required tension automatically, enabling manufacturers to reduce component count, simplify assembly, and decrease overall machine weight. These solutions are particularly well suited to auxiliary drives where torque requirements remain moderate.
Idlers and Tensioners
The performance of a belt drive system depends on more than the belt alone. We offer a wide range of idler and tensioner technologies, from fixed configurations to dynamic tensioning systems.
Each component is engineered and sized as part of the complete transmission system calculation, ensuring consistent performance and durability throughout the expected service life of the equipment.
