Liquid Hydrogen Combines Cryogenic and Fire Risks
Liquid hydrogen presents a unique challenge rarely encountered with other energy sources: the combination of cryogenic hazards and fire risk. In the event of an accidental release, liquefied hydrogen can cool an unprotected structure to -253°C within seconds, potentially weakening materials and causing failure through thermal shock. As a result, safety regulations require protective measures to be integrated into equipment design from the outset.

Our Protection and Insulation Solutions
Cryogenic and Fire Protection Panel
This panel combines a composite foam core with basalt fiber reinforcement to deliver patented thermal protection compliant with ISO 20088.
It withstands cryogenic exposure in accordance with ISO 20088-3 and fire exposure in accordance with ISO 22899-1, providing dual protection against the key risks associated with liquid hydrogen.
Its coefficient of thermal expansion is close to that of steel, facilitating integration onto existing metal structures. In addition, installation requires no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), simplifying deployment while supporting safer working environments.
Inflatable Seals and Isolation Barriers
Our elastomer inflatable seals provide a simple and effective solution for ensuring the sealing integrity of doors, access points, and technical enclosures.
We complement these solutions with insulation systems and containment barriers designed to isolate localized incidents and prevent their propagation throughout the wider installation, helping improve overall site safety and operational resilience.
