Power Transmission

for Lifts & Escalators

Your Drive Systems Operate Every Day of the Year

An elevator in a commercial building can perform hundreds of journeys each day. In transport hubs, escalators may operate continuously from opening to closing time. This constant use leaves little opportunity for maintenance on components such as tensioners that require regular adjustment.

Noise is an equally critical consideration, as passengers are often just a few centimeters away from the drive system.

Our Belt Drive Solutions

Ribbed Belts

Ribbed belts transmit torque through multiple longitudinal ribs, enabling compact pulley diameters while maintaining high efficiency within a limited installation space.

This compact design is particularly valuable in machine-room-less elevator architectures, where the entire drive system must fit within the shaft head.

Our belts are also designed to withstand high and low temperatures, dynamic loading, and abrasive operating conditions, all common challenges in poorly ventilated elevator shafts.

Motion Control and Drive Systems

For elevator applications, we focus specifically on motion control as well as power transmission. Our systems are designed to deliver precise, smooth movement rather than simply transferring torque.

The difference is immediately noticeable to passengers, as any irregular acceleration or deceleration directly affects ride comfort and perceived quality.

Tensioners and Idler Pulleys

A transmission system cannot maintain its performance if belt tension gradually drifts over time. Our hydraulic tensioners help reduce system vibration and are particularly well suited to applications with demanding dynamic behavior.

Our idler pulleys ensure accurate belt positioning and tension control, even in the most complex multi-axis drive configurations.
