Plate seals
Bonded plate seals are bi-material components: an elastomer overmoulded onto a rigid metal or thermoplastic reinforcement, which facilitates assembly. The rigid backing acts as a spacer for the fixing screws and ensures a reliable static seal throughout the component’s service life.
Plate seals are used in industrial applications where the sealing and clamping functions need to be separated.
The designs are optimised to facilitate assembly, whether manual or automated. The use of specific elastomers enables the seals to withstand extreme pressures and temperatures, ensuring high performance in harsh environments without compromising on weight.
