Inflatable seals Membramatic®

Membramatic® inflatable seals ensure the tightness of systems comprising moving parts with large or variable clearances. When pressurised with a fluid or gas, they move from the rest position to the working position and completely seal the gap, ensuring the system remains leak-free.
Inflated to adapt to uneven surfaces and deformations, inflatable seals operate under varying pressure conditions. Used in systems with moving parts or for applications requiring clamping, pressing, gripping or handling of components, inflatable seals ensure an optimal seal.

  • Four profile families: Type D expansion seal, Type P expansion seal with skid, Type H seal, Type E extension seal
  • Type D Textile version available
  • Direction of expansion: outwards (Type E), Type I or Type F
  • Internal pressure to be maintained at 0.2 to 1 bar above the sealing pressure, depending on the seal type and application
  • Materials: NR, SBR, NBR, CR, Butyl IIR, Butyl Heat IIR, EPDM, VMQ, FKM
  • Temperature limits: -50 °C to +250 °C depending on the compound
  • Fluids: air, gas, demineralized water, hot water, acids and alkalis
