Mud, Abrasive Contaminants, and Pressure Spikes Quietly Wear Down Hydraulic Systems

Bucket cylinders and power steering circuits experience pressure spikes with every abrupt movement, all while operating in environments heavily exposed to mud, dust, and abrasive particles. Slow leaks often go unnoticed until hydraulic fluid levels fall below the threshold required for safe and efficient operation. On construction sites where downtime directly impacts productivity and costs, an unexpected shutdown can be far more expensive than the seal replacement that could have prevented it.

Our Precision Sealing Solutions

O-Rings

O-rings are used throughout fixed sealing interfaces across your equipment, from hydraulic power unit connections to gearbox housings. Their circular design simplifies installation and reduces the risk of assembly errors. As the seal is compressed, its cross-section deforms progressively to create an effective and reliable sealing barrier.

We offer a comprehensive range of elastomer materials and hardness grades, enabling precise selection based on the compression requirements and operating conditions of your assembly.

Rubber-to-Metal Bonded Seals

These seals address one of the most critical sealing challenges in highly loaded hydraulic systems: maintaining reliable sealing performance beneath bolt heads and threaded fittings.

Our design combines a rectangular-section metal washer with a bonded and vulcanized trapezoidal rubber sealing element. A thin positioning membrane ensures proper centering during assembly.

This construction delivers simultaneous resistance to pressure and vibration, making it particularly well suited to the operating conditions found in bucket control and steering hydraulic circuits.

Compounds for Harsh Operating Environments

The choice of elastomer compound is a key factor in determining the actual service life of a seal. NBR and EPDM materials cover a wide range of standard application requirements, while HNBR compounds are specifically suited to environments with significant exposure to hydraulic oils.

For equipment operating at high altitude or in extremely cold conditions, we can recommend low-temperature FKM compounds designed to maintain sealing performance even in demanding climates.
