Structural, Protection, Safety

for Building & Facades

Buildings Move More Than You Think

During an earthquake or under severe wind loads, the different levels of a building do not move in the same way or at the same speed. Relative movements occur both vertically and horizontally, often over short periods but with significant amplitudes. Facades and glazing systems must accommodate these movements, even though they are not inherently designed to absorb them. The resulting stresses are concentrated on fixings, anchors, and glazing elements.

Our Structural Protection and Decoupling Solutions

Curtain Wall Supports

These components form the critical connection between the façade and the building structure. For these applications, we use metal cushions manufactured from knitted and compressed stainless-steel wire. We offer more than a thousand standard references to meet a wide range of structural requirements.

Thanks to the flexibility of this manufacturing process, we can also develop customized shapes and performance characteristics for projects where every interface is unique. Depending on the application, these solutions can be combined with rubber-ring mounts bonded to a central tube, which absorb loads while allowing controlled movement.

Elastomer Buffers

Often discreet but essential, elastomer buffers play a vital role in protecting equipment and structures. They absorb impacts silently, preventing repeated shock loads and the gradual deterioration of the components they protect.

We offer a variety of geometries, from cylindrical buffers to progressive conical designs. The latter provide increasing stiffness as compression increases, ensuring controlled energy absorption under higher loads.

Suspensions for Roofs and Suspended Equipment

Floating roofs and suspended ceilings must remain decoupled from the building structure to deliver effective acoustic performance. To achieve this, we use suspension mounts composed of two U-shaped metal frames connected by bonded rubber elements.

These suspension systems are available in male-female and female-female configurations to suit different installation requirements. They can also be combined with our stainless-steel spring isolators, featuring elastomer guides that help reduce the transmission of structure-borne noise.
