Acoustics and vibration

for Gardening Equipment

Noise and Vibration: Two Key Challenges for Garden Equipment

Garden equipment often operates just inches away from the user and may run continuously for hours. Every vibration transmitted through the handle affects operator comfort, while excessive noise can limit when and where equipment can be used, particularly in residential environments.

Both issues are far more effectively addressed during the design phase than after products have been released and field feedback begins to accumulate.

Our Vibration and Acoustic Isolation Solutions

Elastomeric Anti-Vibration Mounts

This is the most widely used vibration isolation solution, and for good reason. An elastomer element is positioned between the engine and its supporting structure to absorb vibrational energy before it can propagate throughout the machine.

The effectiveness of the solution depends on precise engineering. A mount that is too soft may allow excessive movement, while one that is too rigid provides insufficient isolation. To meet the specific requirements of each application, we offer a wide range of designs, from bobbin mounts to sandwich mounts, and tailor elastomer hardness to the actual loads you provide.

Metal Mounts and Elastic Bushings

Not every application requires the same balance between vibration isolation and mechanical resistance. When shock resistance is the primary requirement, our metal mounts provide an effective alternative through a compressed stainless steel wire mesh cushion.

This technology retains its performance in operating conditions where conventional elastomers may reach their temperature limits. Elastic bushings address a different need: controlled oscillating movements with limited angular displacement. They eliminate the need for periodic lubrication, a maintenance advantage that end users value in everyday operation.

Acoustic Foams

Airborne noise is best controlled at its source rather than through mounting systems. Our acoustic foam insulation solutions reduce noise through a combination of sound insulation, sound absorption, and damping technologies.

We tailor these functions to the enclosure design of your equipment, delivering effective noise reduction while supporting overall machine performance and user comfort.
